You control when your children receive what you leave them. Everyone has heard about trust babies, the kids with a lot of money who do not care about anything. The idea is to help our children, not to sponsor them.
What I Said
From my September 10 Parents Edition workshop at the Cambria Hotel in Calabasas, lightly edited for readability.
What reaches them: you can actually control at what time, at what age your children will receive your inheritance, or their inheritance, your wealth. I'm sure many of you heard about trust babies, you know, those kids that have a lot of money and don't care about anything. So my idea is that we want to help our children, but we don't want to sponsor them.
