If all of the people you have in mind, who would care for you, your finances, or your child, exist only in your head, then it goes to court. It is a long process, and I will make a lot of money from it. That is not what this is about. It is about dignity. It is about you knowing exactly what will happen, you deciding it, and you taking care of your child.
What I Said
From my September 10 Parents Edition workshop at the Cambria Hotel in Calabasas, lightly edited for readability.
Your child. Who has authority over a child whose parent is in a hospital bed? And we spoke about it, that short-term guardianship is a must, and supported by a will for longer, if you're not available for a longer time. So if all these wishes, if all these people that you have in your mind who will take care of you, your finances, or your child, are just in your head, we're going to court.
It is going to be a long process.
I will make a lot of money, and it's not about that. It's about dignity. It's about you knowing exactly what will happen, and you deciding, and you taking care of your child.
