Nobody Should Learn From a Court That They Were Named Guardian

September 22, 2026 Maria V. Primushko Parents Edition Workshop

If you name guardians for your children, talk to them. Nobody should find out from a court that they were chosen to raise someone else's kids.

What I Said

From my September 10 Parents Edition workshop at the Cambria Hotel in Calabasas, lightly edited for readability.

It is important to talk to those people. If you name guardians for your kids, talk to them, so they don't find out about it from court that they've been named guardians for your child. And so talk to them first about it.

The full talk, written down: Who Picks Up Your Child From School if You Never Come Home?
