One of the most common concerns we hear from parents is not taxes. It is divorce. They do not want what they built landing on the table in a child’s separation. There are specific structures that keep an inheritance with the person you intended, regardless of what happens around them.

Inheritance exposed to a pending divorce. That's probably one of the biggest concerns that we hear from clients: parents don't want their wealth to go exposed to their children. And by exposed, that means exposed to potential ex-spouses.

So imagine an inheritance being on the chopping block if there's a divorce with one of your kids, right? So there are very specific ways it can be avoided, so that your kids actually keep their inheritance for themselves, no matter what goes on around them.
